  11. Well, I just received the Zoom v.32bis today.  And right now I'm at 14.4 with
  12. out any problem ( yet :) ).  The modem came with a Mac cable.  And eveything
  13. seems fine.

  15. What I am wondering is, how do I tell if I need to get a hardware handshaking
  16. cable?  Right now, I am using AppleWorks GS's telecom module.  I didn't set the
  17. XON/XOFF ( software handshake ).  I also ordered ProTERM.  Which should be here
  18. tomorrow...

  20. btw, if anyone is interested in getting a new modem...  I brought my v.32bis (
  21. with out FAX ) ZOOM from MacConnections for $265 ( advertized price.  the one
  22. with FAX costs $299 ).  Shipping was only 3 bucks for air, and COD added
  23. another $4.  Anyway, I was thinking about buying a Supra.  But I didn't need
  24. the FAX option, and Supra did'nt seem to have a v.32bis with out the FAX.

  26. Before I made my purchase, I was worry about the ZOOM's quality.  But seems
  27. pretty good.  Will let ya know if I have any problems.
