- First, the easy stuff: Does anyone know where the two pins for the
- external LED on a Conner CP3200-F are? I've tried just randomly
- hooking the LED up to various sets of pins, but to no avail. There's
- a jumper over a pair of pins towards one edge of the board, but I
- don't wanna take it off unless I know it's for the LED.
-
- Second: Does anyone know Conner's phone # so I can get info on this
- LED thing? The 800 operator didn't have a number for 'em...
-
- Third: There's some really strange stuff going on. I got my Conner
- CP-3200F today, and it's pretty neat. I've got my SCSI chain set up
- right now with the GS (Apple DMA-SCSI) at one end, a Seagate ST-1096N
- in the middle, and the Conner at the other end. The Seagate has an ID
- of 6, and the Conner is set to 5 (so that my system boots off the
- Seagate).
-
- Here's where the wierd stuff starts. Initially, I thought to
- myself: "okay, the Seagate is in the middle, so I should yank off it's
- terminating resistors." I did this. The system couldn't see the
- drive. The Conner was recognized, though. So I unhooked the Conner,
- and the Seagate was still gone. I threw the resistors back on, and the
- Seagate re-appeared. Then I hooked the Conner back up, (note: BOTH
- drives have the resistors), and both drives get recognized. Should
- they? Isn't it bad to have devices in the middle of the chain
- terminating?
-
- There's a NASTY delay whenever ProDOS 8 starts up. That delay
- wasn't there before. Is that because of the extra termination?
-
- Any help on any of the three questions would be appreciated. Please
- mail responses directly to me. Thanks.
