A dialog box came up telling me that this was a MFS disk, and that System 6.0 can only read HFS disks. Now I have two questions, the first is: What mac os used mfs? Her disk really is not that old, and contains a MacWrite 5.0 document so I figured I could edit it with Teach, but sinces it is MFS I can't touch it. Second, how different is MFS from HFS, and could a simple MFS FST be put to

If my memmory serves me right, MFS was used on the origional macintoshes that
only came with 400k drives. I'm not sure, but I think if you choose one-sided
when you format a disk on the mac, it will be an MFS disk.
Now, there is a program that will run on any 8-bit ][ with a 3.5" drive
that will let you convert the files from MFS to Prodos. If anyone wants me
