- The DeskJet has fewer fonts than the DeskJet 500. The DeskJet has a 25 pin
- Serial connection, and a parallel connection. The DeskWriter has an 8 pin
- connection, and can be used serial or with AppleTalk (but Harmonie does not
- support the DeskWriter on a network). You can use your standard everyday
- printer cable from a IIGS to a DeskWriter (IIGS to ImageWriter II, that is).
- The serial cable from the DeskJet to the IIGS is the same as the one from the
- IIGS to the ImageWriter I.
