  37. First, I want to say a big "Thank-You" to Todd Whitesel (Todd, are you
  38. there?) for giving me the cable pinouts.  I've finally managed to get my
  39. Best 14496 modem working on my Apple IIGS!!  It runs at practically any
  40. baud rate from 2400 to 14400 with v.42 and MNP5 enabled, giving it
  41. effective rates of 19200 and more.

  43. I had the same problems as you did in getting the high-speed modem to
  44. work.  You at least managed to get yours working at 2400; mine wouldn't
  45. work at all previously.  All I did was to get a new cable configured and
  46. that solved all my problems.
