  28. Sounds like your a little "green" :-)

  30. Don't confuse the registry with Apollo's naming service.  The registry
  31. is used ONLY for user login account information.
  32.  
  33. When you use the '-root' switch on ctnode, it is adding an entry to
  34. the NS_HELPER database (apollo's name server).  Generally you use the
  35. ns_helper in large networks or when you decide to create DDS internets
  36. (not be confused with TCP/IP internets, which are different).

  38. If you are only have two nodes, I'd use the command:

  40.    /etc/ctnode -update -all
  41.  
  42. (this assumes that you are using the default NETID of zero too) and be
  43. done with it.

  45. Otherwise, to successfully use the command you issued, you must start
  46. the ns_helper on one or more of the nodes, and initialize it.  See the
  47. help file on 'ns_helper', and the 'edns' command that is used to modify
  48. the ns_helper database.
