I have the following problem. I have just installed DomainOS on a second Apollo 400 m/c and , using the other 400 as a master, am trying to update the registry that there is a new node on the network. The install guide says to type the following:
/etc/ctnode coley 4e593 -l -r -root
where coley is the new node name.
The above gives me the following error:
Unable to update replicated root;local cache not updated - transmit failed (OS/network)
I know that the network is OK because I can boot the new m/c off the master via our ethernet.
A clue may be that I cannot log into the new node as "user" if the node is attached to the network. If I remove it then I can login - this must surely mean that the master is being polled for username "user" and not the local m/c?
