- BTW, this code was never actually used in a commercial product, I
- used an assembly routine... I haven't looked at this code since '87 or '88
- so I can't guarantee it works as is... but I did base my assembly on this.
- The current assembly version has been optimized almost to the point that
- it looks nothing like the C algorythem.
