  23. I had a hell of a time making ARN realise that I had news in the
  24. directories.

  26. It turns out that there is one huge hurdle, and two minor ones.

  28. First, the biggie: If you are running >1.15D, then .arnmasterrc
  29. INSISTS that you use the DOTDIRS parameter

  45. Which is most likely your problem.

  47. The other problems I had was that I wasn't able to read news
  48. because of the .grouplist file [GROUPLIST in .arnrc] wasn't
  49. recognised.

  51. Fiddling with the DOTDIRS parameter made things work better.

  53. I'm just getting used to this new ARN, and it is somewhat of an
  54. improvement on the 0.64 version I was running for two years, but
  55. it has some very annoying quirks. I'll tell Roland about it.
