-
- I think Marc had a point. Amiga dealers are getting pretty scarce.
- 1,000 is probably about right if you consider places like Software Etc
- which still sell Amiga software. Some of these might have some hardware
- available.
-
- We just effectively lost one dealer here in Des Moines. That brings us
- down to one dealer left, and he's losing money fast.
- Minneapolis lost at least one more dealer up there. I think they might
- have 4 dealers left, plus Software, Etc.. Last I saw it appeared that
- the video game store in the local mall up in Burnsville had dropped
- Amiga in favor of Apple II and C-64 stuff.
-
- But 1,000 still seems awfully high. At least here in the States, that'd
- be 20 per state on the average, and unless California has 800, I doubt it.
-
-
- I'm willing to bet that the 1,000 figure includes dealers in Europe, which
- probably make up a good chunk of that number. Either that or they did
- include the software only retailers which have nothing much to do with
- Commodore...
-
- This discussion really doesn't seem appropriate for csa.advocacy.
- Perhaps marketplace. Otherwise misc.
