- Well, the Ramsey CHIP is set up by the OS to deal with the hardware
- within the machine. The fact that RAMSEY is the RAM controller and the
- address generator for the SCSI DMA means that if RAMSEY is not working just
- right you can get a trashed disk, trashed RAM, or both. We are talking
- major data loss (possible, does not always happen in a drastic way)

- Let the OS configure the motherboard. It was designed for the machine
- and tested in all configurations of the motherboard.
