- I don't know about that. They replaced the mother board on my 3000 three
- times under warantee and in my home. That's pretty good.
-
- Groupe des Machines Bull, on the other hand, who C= hire to do the
- repairs, could do better though, like by equipping their service people
- with a ZIP puller and forcing them to read and understand the
- disassembly/assembly instructions. Perhaps C= should send training
- materials on CDTV to them.
-
- Commodore could help by making the diagnostic program more
- stupid-person-friendly. It currently exits and clears the screen if it
- succeeds. It should leave a message saying that it finished its tests
- and that the computer is completely operational, and all of it's
- circuits are functioning perfectly. Even better, it could say that, as
- well as write it. Oh yeah .... C= should also send a really big warning
- to the service people telling them NOT TO PLUG THINGS INTO THE COMPUTER
- WHILE IT IS SWITCHED ON (as my one did, harmlessly, fortunately)
