  14. There seems to be a problem with using Courier-11 as the
  15. "System default text"!

  17. Lucky me! This was my first choice when I first setup OS2.04.

  19. Try the following:

  23. Run to "Font Preferences" and select the "System default text" gadget.
  24. Then choose "courier 11" for the font selection.
  25. Then select the "Use" gadget.
  26. Now open a new CLI window.
  27.  
  28. It should be using the new font selection of "courier 11".

  30. Now type a capital "W" and then try to delete it!
  31. Type return and you will (maybe) notice that it was not completely
  32. erased!

  36. Hopefully, you see the same thing that I do.  MicroEMACS V2.1 has
  37. always (since OS2.x) had the problem of leaving dots scattered all
  38. over the screen.  I never knew why.  I'd just refresh the screen and
  39. all would be fine, for a few moments.

  41. I've also noticed that PowerSnap by Nico Francois V2.0 and 2.0a
  42. refuses to cut/paste the capital "W" properly. V2.0 would never
  43. do anything except maybe paste ???'s where the W should be.  V2.0a,
  44. with the ALLFONTS setting, will either cut/paster the "W" correctly
  45. and nothing else, or cut/paste everything else OK, except the "W"!!!

  47. I switched to a number of different fonts without trouble.
