- There seems to be a problem with using Courier-11 as the
- "System default text"!
-
- Lucky me! This was my first choice when I first setup OS2.04.
-
- Try the following:
-
- ------------------
-
- Run to "Font Preferences" and select the "System default text" gadget.
- Then choose "courier 11" for the font selection.
- Then select the "Use" gadget.
- Now open a new CLI window.
-
- It should be using the new font selection of "courier 11".
-
- Now type a capital "W" and then try to delete it!
- Type return and you will (maybe) notice that it was not completely
- erased!
-
- ------------------
-
- Hopefully, you see the same thing that I do. MicroEMACS V2.1 has
- always (since OS2.x) had the problem of leaving dots scattered all
- over the screen. I never knew why. I'd just refresh the screen and
- all would be fine, for a few moments.
-
- I've also noticed that PowerSnap by Nico Francois V2.0 and 2.0a
- refuses to cut/paste the capital "W" properly. V2.0 would never
- do anything except maybe paste ???'s where the W should be. V2.0a,
- with the ALLFONTS setting, will either cut/paster the "W" correctly
- and nothing else, or cut/paste everything else OK, except the "W"!!!
-
- I switched to a number of different fonts without trouble.
-
- I'll send this off to CBM, if I remember where bug reports are sent.
