  15. Does anyone know if there is a software package for the Amiga which is similar
  16. to a program called "The Stacker" for the IBM-PC and compatibles?

  18. Basically what Stacker does is use a huge file on the PCs HD to emulate a disk.
  19. However, the data in this file is compressed so that the Stacker program
  20. effectively doubles your HD space!  For instance I have a PC at home with a
  21. 20MB hard drive.  Using stacker I can sqeeze about 40M worth of data onto
  22. the drive.

  24. If there is not such a program I am interested in writing one.  In that case
  25. could someone send me some good compression routines to use, or perhaps     
  26. suggest a good compression algorithm?  I can write such a routine, but I am
  27. really not in the mood to do so.
