- This may be the wrong place to ask but here goes. My A3000 has one
- meg of chip ram. I've been told I need 1meg of DIP ram to fill this up.
- On the other side is another row of sockets for a meg of DIP ram, and
- the thirty-two spaces for ZIP ram. There are no chips in the DIP
- spaces, but eight chips in the zip ram, spaced every fifth I think.
- That's one chip, three empty spaces and another chip. How much memory
- can I add without replacing any of these existing chips? I'm not sure
- but it seems to me that it would take 32 256*4 chips to fill up four
- megs, and there are definetly not 32 chips in the ZIP spaces. So it
- seems to me that these are 1*4 chips. So I could get the max of sixteen
- megs ZIP ram, and then could I also fill up the DIP slots for a total of
- nineteen megs? I'd appreciate someone who understands all the different
- configs explaining all this to me. So if you can, either post on this
- board or E-mail me at jk72@andrew.cmu.edu. I prefer E-mail. THANKS in
- advance.
