  10. Im not really a newcomer, but the question is one that has been aired and solved
  11. many times.. unfortunately I wasnt around the net at the time, so here goes:

  14. I have an a500 with 2M ram and an external drive(xytec) . When I boot with the
  15. external drive attached the amiga has the impression that it has 4 drives
  16. attached.

  18. Someone mentioned something about jumper connections, so I had a look inside the
  19. drive (citizen mechanism) and found an 3x2 array of pins with two jumpers on 
  20. some of them. moving the "jumpers" didnt amuse the amiga which told me that 
  21. I had no external drives. I put the jumpers back to their original positions
  22. and still have the problem of the two extra phantom drives: df2: df3:

  24. any ideas as what I should do (other than get a better disk-drive) to solve the 
  25. problem? Or is the problem within the amiga and how do I find out.

  27. 2) the flicker-fixer program is very efeective at removing flicker without 
  28. investing in hardware. Unfortunately it only works on the "workbench" screen.
  29. Has it been extended to work on all screens? If so where can I get it from.
