- Hi there,
-
- I was thinking of moving from my A500/GVP Series II over to a A600. What
- I would like to know is if any old IDE harddisk can be plugged into the A600
- (assuming that its the correct size to fit!) without much hassels. I have heard
- that IDE requires some setup that is specific to the Harddisk, and as such
- getting an Amiga version of this software could be hard. Another question I
- have concerns the possibility of fast ram expansion. The A600 has 1meg chip ram
- and the memory slot can take it to 2meg chip, but is there a method currently
- available that would give me a couple of meg FAST ram. In other words can I get
- 2meg of chip AND 2meg of fast inside an A600 (Forget the PCMIA (?) slot).
-
- Any info on the above questions would be greatly appriciated, but
- please mail me, as finding the time to read all this news is very difficult.
-
- P.S. Is this the correct group to post these questions to?
