- I've slowed down the fan on my A2000 by inserting a few small diodes (1N4148 or
- similar) to lower the operating voltage. That makes the fan much quieter, but
- still efficient. Noise is just energy wasted. Each diode gives around 0.7V drop.
- Try 4 or 5.

- I first tried with a resistance, but the fan wouldn't start: it needs a much higher
- current at start, and that makes a much bigger voltage drop.
