- These games are actually becoming fairly common.
- I've played the one you described in St. Louis, New York, and even in
- a remote mall in Connecticut. All the ones I have seen allow four
- players at a time. One of them also had two pairs of the players
- linked with headsets so they could talk to eachother and team up
- against the other pair. Another game they have at these "Virtuality"
- places has you driving a tank around. Same visor, but the only other
- input is a joystick. Not as impressive as "Dactyl Nightmare". The
- cost I've heard is closer to $55,000.. but you may have been quoting
- Canadian dollars, and I am thinking in US$.
-
- There's a new game coming out for the same system. It is played on
- the tank simulator, but uses one more joystick. So far there is only
- a demo, but it looks pretty good. You get to fly a spaceship around
- and blast away enemy ships.
-
- The cost of playing these games over here is $4 for 3.5 minutes of the
- one you described, or $3 for 3.5 minutes of the tank. The one in NY
- had slightly higher prices, but that's typical. (These are all US$)
