-
- Making a prototyping board with hard coded address is not too hard, but
- that is not the amiga way.
-
- At any event, can anybody give me (or post) a set of PAL equations
- or some cuircuitry to do Autoconfig? (I would assume this is oneof
- the most basic Amiga circuits)
-
- I certainly understand your concerns. Anyway, even if you had a board
- with the autoconfig (which would really be nice), you still have to
- burn a PAL so the autoconfig can get the manufacturer's number (or
- whatever they call that code now), which tells the software what
- driver to load for the card. If you don't have an assigned #, you can
- fake one as long as it doesn't conflict with anything else in your
- machine.
-
- CATS used to publish a little book with the expansion specifications
- and A1000 schematics all together. This is a good reference and gives
- an example design with an autoconfigure circuit, PAL eqn's, etc. I
- think the technical manuals for the A2000 also have the PAL equations.
-
- If we're nice maybe somebody will post CATS' address, ph #, etc,
- (I don't have it here).
