  23. This modem supports V.32 V.42 and V.42bis ONLY!

  25. It has been brought to my attention that THIS MODEM DOES NOT TALK 19,200
  26. OVER THE LINK (that is it does not do V.32bis) it can talk at EFFECTIVE speeds
  27. up to 38,400 by doing compression (V.42, V.42bis) but the highest speed it
  28. talks over the phone line at is 9600.

  30. I'm told that it uses the AT&T chip set. The new Rockwell chip set can talk
  31. at 19,200 over the link. Add compression on top of that, and you've got real
  32. speeds there.
