- Call 1-800-TELEBIT

- This modem supports V.32 V.42 and V.42bis ONLY!
-
- It has been brought to my attention that THIS MODEM DOES NOT TALK 19,200
- OVER THE LINK (that is it does not do V.32bis) it can talk at EFFECTIVE speeds
- up to 38,400 by doing compression (V.42, V.42bis) but the highest speed it
- talks over the phone line at is 9600.
-
- I'm told that it uses the AT&T chip set. The new Rockwell chip set can talk
- at 19,200 over the link. Add compression on top of that, and you've got real
- speeds there.
-
- The advantage here is the price...
-
- Thanks to all who pointed this out.
