- Hey all..
- For my latest project, I purchased a Northgate Omnikey Ultra X for
- my '1000.
- The adaptor that I built works fine, and the keyboard (I'm typing
- with it now) is behaving itself.
- I had to change the wiring of the RESET button on the back
- (Northgate didn't follow the specifications for resetting the Amiga from the
- keyboard... bad Northgate!), which simply involved jumpering the KCLK line
- to one side of the switch... So my accelerated Computer resets fine now.
-
- My problem (you knew there had to be one, didn't you?) involves some
- of the extra keys on the board.
- I have a modified Keymap that I got from GEnie for the keyboard, and
- it adds some features.
-
- I can't get programs (CygnusED is a notable example) to recognize
- the page up, page down, home, and end keys.
- I've tried changing the keymap file several ways, with no success.
-
- Anyone got any good suggestions???
-
-
- (by the way, the feel of the keyboard is just great ... Northgate is selling
- them for $69, the Amiga Keycaps are $15...)
