- Howdy,
-
- I own a Fusion Forty equipped with 9 megs of ram (four 1x9 70ns simms and four
- 1x9 80ns simms, all are manufactured by Micron) which is sitting in my 2000.
- I've got a problem concerning switching processors (from the F40 68040 to the
- original 68000). Whenever I switch using the hardware switch on the back of
- the board, the computer refuses to boot-up right away, it takes several (9-10)
- warm boots (CTRL-A-A) to get it going again! And when I switch back it does
- the same thing. I own an ICD AdSCSI 2000 (switched from a Trumpcard Pro) which
- has 2 105 Quantums and 1 40meg Sony hooked up to it. Worse yet, everytime I
- switch processors and the computer does boot-up, the drives take a billion
- years to finish-booting (2 minutes was the last time I booted, bootup usually
- takes less than 39 seconds). Has anybody out there had the same problem?
-
- I would call RCS but it's a REAL LLLOOONNNGGG distance call and costs me a
- pretty penny every time I call.
-
- Thanks for the help,
-
- Teddy
