- Marcus Illenseer,

- Note that Imagemaster was designed and released before CBM came OUT with
- the style guide. Your point is taken, though - we are working on it. The
- trick is to use an Amiga "Standard" interface and have the same power
- and flexibility available. It's not as easy as it might look from
- outside. We'll do it, though. :^)
-
- You mentioned GigaMem; we've put in something for the 9.16 release (due
- shortly, a few weeks) designed especially for Gigamem; it allows the
- user to specify that the memory for the image buffers may be allocated
- withOUT the MEMF_PUBLIC flag, which GigaMem likes to use to discriminate
- who gets VM and who does not. We used MEMF_PUBLIC because the image buffers
- ARE public; other programs can use/multitask them with us... so to use
- GigaMem as it was intended to be used, this little feature makes it much
- easier. It's not too bad a deal to do; although it breaks the idea of
- the MEMF_PUBLIC flag, since CBM doesn't provide a MEMF_VIRTUAL or
- MEMF_SWAPPABLE flag, and has remained mum on the subject, we felt it was
- time to do something positive. Anyway, I ramble. Cioa.
-
- Typos... I hate typos: Ciao. :^)
