- I don't have any specs on me at the moment, but when I was talking to the designer
- he said that it was a complete modular system (like OpalVision). At that time he
- had a 24-bit graphics board + 8-bit of Alpha. He said that the Alpha bitplanes
- could also be used as Z-buffers. He was planing to release a PAL encoder, a frame
- grabber and some Video-effects processor. Something on the lines of the Toaster
- or Roaster. I think the resolutions were up to 1k by 1k, but he did not use the
- TMS34020 or any other chips that I could recognise. In fact there were some parts
- that looked like LS series chips that had their numbers painted over with black
- texter. Strange.
-
- It was quite surprising to see that his design/philosophy was so similar to Gary
- Reyner's OpalVision. The problem is that he is about 1.5 years behind Gary, and
- has no software to speak of, as yet.
-
- Now, I have not seen this graphic system perform, and neither has anyone else at
- the show. It was all on the drawing board back then.
