- Allright, you know that the meteorite is a magnet. That was pretty straight
- forward. As far as getting the magnet, a key thing to remember is that you
- don't necessarily have to go the mushrooms in order (2,3,4,etc..). Let's see.
- You got the skink, so you must have gotten past the barrow wight and back out
- of the barrow. If you did it right, you must have ended up behind the water-
- fall in an ICE cavern. Hint! Hint! The magnet is what? "Hot," you say.
- Hmmmm. What could possibly make a hot object cold enough to pick up?
- I.E. Throw something at the ice. Something heavy preferably. Maybe one of
- those big icicles on the ceiling would fall down.
-
- SAVE GAME HERE! :)
-
- The icicle will last a total of 6 moves. So there has to be a way to get
- the ice to the meteorite still frozen in less then 6 moves. At the end of
- the sixth move, wherever you are the ice is useless. You probably tried
- moving the magnet, but that won't work. Think for a minute. Where is there
- a place less then 6 moves (I think it's 6) away from the ice cavern and where
- the crater is less than 6 moves from there, where water may have a good
- chance of freezing? I'll let you figure that one out.
-
- OK, back to space. You get a nice little gnomon pun if you do this right.
- Obviously you need the magnet eventually or I would not have run you through
- that stuff above. As for needing it here, well. What do you think a Star
- Wars satellite would be made of, because that's what it essentially is.
- METAL, That's what. And in a land where chemistry doesn't mean much, what
- is attracted to metal, and thus you if you're holding it? Hmmm? As for
- getting back through the door, well that's not really tricky, but you might
- not think of it. I'll give you a hint. You have to pull a 2001.
-
- Dave Bowman: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
- HAL 9000: I'm sorry, Dave, but I'm afraid I can't do that.
-
- But you have to get out of your impromptu (sp?) space craft first. Unlike
- Dave who could get out of his ship but not through the door, you can get
- through the door, but you can't get out of the ship. What I'm trying to say
- is that you aren't moving fast enough on the satellite to make it to the door
- in time.
-
- post again if you have any more trouble.
