  12. Well, the rumor is less than accurate. Some companies are pulling back form t
  13. Amiga and not porting everything over as they once did. SSI is an example; th
  14. will now do conversions on a case-by-case basis. Origin is not a good example
  15. they have recently released Ultima VI, plan to release Wing Commander in Euro
  16. in September (which would put US release around Christmas) and are in talks 
  17. with UK Mindscape for conversions of Savage Empire and Martian Dreams.
  18. They've also announced plans for Wing Commander II. Beyond that is a rumored 
  19. but unconfirmed conversion of Ultima Underworlds. 
  20. I think, in a sense, this rretrenchment is a natural consequence of the 
  21. Amy's niche status -- 3.5 million beside a gamers PC market (not all PCs are
  22. game PCs) of ... say, 15-20 million.

  24. No, it's not time to bail. It *is* however time to keep a livelier eye on
  25. the European scene, as more and more games will come from there (the
  26. majority already do, in fact).
