- Hi, I'm getting real good at downloading the world from my unix site, but for
- some reason, I have muchos problemos trying to go in the opposite direction!
-
- The kermit commands that work for me to DOWNLOAD to the Amiga (after much trial
- and error!):
-
- glia> kermit -i -e 1000 -s fname
-
- BUT, when I try to reverse it, changing the -s to -r and then jumping back
- to VLT, the darn thing either times out on me or gives so many erros that it's
- not worth keeping the file.
-
- Little files, under 2K, seem to be about all I can upload, but even those are
- trial and error and finger-crossing. (Individual icons are about all I can
- upload and they are archived.)
-
- I've tried starting with VLT first, but that was TOTAL disaster. :<
-
- Also, VLT wants to send my DF0: or DH0(30HD): along as part of the filename
- (and when it sent Ram Disk:fname, my unix choked on the mv (renaming) command
- because of the space.) Is there any way to chop off that directory name?
-
- Please post answers to the group - I'm getting so far behind in my email I'm
- beginning to dread "You have new mail" signals. ;>
-
- Thanks in advance...

- Oh, and please do not suggest Zmodem. Kermit is the only protocol our site
- supports due to space constraints. :<
