- Hello,
- I'm trying to get my old A1000 to work on our local serial network here
- at the university. I'm running it at 19200 baud, and everything works
- fine, except uploading. Downloading (using Zmodem) works great, but
- uploading by X/Y/Zmodem won't work.
-
- When uploading, the zmodem will send several packets, comming up to
- approx 4096 bytes. Then it repositions to 0, and stalls. Running at
- 2400 & under works great. What's wrong?
-
- Here's my set-up:
- A1000, 2 meg memory, 1 floppy drive (internal). Up/Downloading from/to
- RAD: (880 k)
-
- Serial prefs: Baud rate: 19200, buffer size 16000, read bits 8, Write
- bits 8, stop bits 1, parity none, handshaking none.
-
- I'm running a registered version of JR-Comm (1.02a). I am connected
- directly to the serial network.
- My Serial settings are:
- Baud rade 19.2k, Data bits 8,
- Stop bits 1, Parity none,
- Duplex full, Break len. 250000.
- No Xon/Xoff
- Terminal settings:
- Workbench screen, VT-100 emulation,
- Strip high bit,
- and more
- General settings:
- I've tried priorties from 0-5.
- Transfer parameters:
- Protocol zmodem,
- zmodem send modes newer/longer,
- zmodem options resume transfer, auto download, auto d/l challenge, 32
- bit CRC,
- Misc:
- Binary mode

- On the unix side, we run SunOS. I have the following stty settings:
- speed 19200 baud, 24 rows, 80 columns
- -parenb -parodd cs8 -cstopb -hupcl cread clocal -crtscts
- -ignbrk brkint ignpar -parmrk -inpck -istrip -inlcr -igncr icrnl -iuclc
