- First off, before I begin, I take no responsibility for the work in the archive.
- I only redrew the schematic (which was wrong) and modified the parts list
- to correct it. Mine works, built exactly the way the diagram shows it.
-
- I'd also like to thank Fred Hamilton from National Semiconductor for the
- help he gave me when I was debugging mine. You saved me a lot of time and
- frustration Fred!!!
-
- Now then:
-
- I'd like to announce a the upload of a do-it-yourself audio digitizer to
- the incoming/hardware directory on wuarchive. This digitizer is based around
- the ADC0804 A/D convertor chip, and is capable of good quality mono sampling.
- Stereo can be achived by using special software (such as Perfect Sound) by
- digitizing the left and then the right channels and appending them together.
-
- All the parts for the digitizer can be bought for under $20 and the unit
- can be made extremely small. I've tested it with MED 3.21, Protracker, Animan,
- VCLI4, and AGMSRecordSound/PlaySound without any problems whatsoever.
-
- I encourage everyone to try this hack. It's pretty easy to do (now with the
- right schematic and parts!!) and a real bargain.
-
- If you have any problems with getting it to work, or understanding the schematic,
- I can be reached at the folowing E-Mai addresses:
-
- kopackm@lonex.rl.af.mil (in the summer time)
- kopack@bugs.rl.af.mil " " "
- gt6758b@prism.gatech.edu (rest of the year)
-
- Good luck, start warming up those soldering irons!!!!
