- One of my favorite debates! MusicX: pretty and useless and doesn't work.
- KCS: ugly and useful and works. Seriously, I'm a hardcore user of Dr.T's
- stuff on my Amiga, and KCS (3.54) is my favorite sequencer of all time...
- simply because 1) it has raw and open-ended power, and 2) its user inter-
- face is fast. Before I got XoR, I used KCS for librarian (storage) duty.
- It can receive and send sysex pretty well, but it will choke on extremely
- large incoming sysex. My favorite KCS deals are the editing tools: the
- Master Editor and the Programmable Variations Generator - serious stuff.
- I don't use it a whole lot but the Level II includes Tiger, a graphic
- editor - great for drawing controller curves. KCS multitasks extremely
- well in the Amiga environment - especially with XoR, their editor/librarian
- software. My advice: don't get wowed by flashy interfaces; think about the
- music.....
