  11. Here is an application I have worked on the past months and is yet
  12. available for download for free:

  18. CanonStudio  is a new program wich is intended for all Amiga Canon
  19. printer drivers.  It does print 24/8Bit IFF graphics with up to 24
  20. bit  accuracy in any size (Want a 100*100m poster?) .  CanonStudio
  21. is  not  limited  to  the  max.   4096 colors of the Amiga printer
  22. device, though it does work with nearly all Amiga printer drivers.
  23. The pictures are printed FROM DISK ie.  you don't need much memory
  24. for printing a 10MByte 24 Bit graphic in high quality.

  26. CanonStudio is specialy written for the Amiga operation system and
  27. is  not  just  a  simple  portation from an IBM or Apple computer.
  28. Because of this, CanonStudio makes heavily use of multitasking and
  29. Kickstart 2.04.  CanonStudio includes a spooler wich allows you to
  30. specify multiple print jobs while the program is allready printing
  31. in  background.   The program does provide a nice "click-and-drag"
  32. userinterface.

  34. Now, here are some of the CanonStudio features:

  36. - prints IFF pictures from disk
  37. - does support nearly every IFF format including IFF24, HAM6,
  38.   HAM8 and EHB.
  39. - does not require $&%$ MBytes memory!
  40. - poster function allows printing of any sized pictures
  41. - number of copies can be defined
  42. - 24/8 Bit accuracy
  43. - multiple jobs can be defined and printed in background
  44.   (estimated print time and more will be displayed)
  45. - ink compensation does correct ink impurities
  46. - color adjustment (gamma, contrast, brightnes, weights,...)
  47. - Free defineable ordered dither routines. Following ordered
  48.   dither matrices are allready included:
  49.   Haltone-A, Halftone-B, Ordered-A, Ordered-B, Spiral, Horizontal,
  50.   Vertical, Bck-Diagonal, Fwd-Diagonal
  51. - Three error diffusion dither routines:
  52.   Floyd Steinberg, Jarvis, Stucki
  53. - Two serpentine blue noise dither routines are included:
  54.   30% random weight, 50% random weight
  55. - ARexx interface
  56. - font independent user interface

  61. - ~300KB memory (yep, that's all!)
