  17. So?  I'd call this a real plus.  Machines are a lot faster than they
  18. used to be and I look forward to the day when we remove the
  19. compilation step again.  I think programmer optimization costs more
  20. than run time optimization, obviouslt, so now it's just a matter of
  21. waiting until machines are fast enough that the users can live with
  22. the response time as well.
