- If you want a 'proper' script language you could do worse than trying
- Paul Moore's port of PERL. I've been using it a little while and it is
- jolly good. The language itself can be a touch confusing at times
- at least to a Smalltalk person, but it does everything that
- awk, sed, csh etc etc do on yoonicks and in a single application.
- It is almost entirely compatible with the Unix and messdos versions, with
- things like socket handling obviously not there.
- I downloaded it from uts.mcc.ac.uk riscos archives.
- Personally I think it could do with some simplifying in a few areas and
- some better integration with riscos, but it's a great start. And a great
- price!
