  11. If you want a 'proper' script language you could do worse than trying
  12. Paul Moore's port of PERL.  I've been using it a little while and it is 
  13. jolly good.  The language itself can be a touch confusing at times
  14. at least to a Smalltalk person, but it does everything that
  15. awk, sed, csh etc etc do on yoonicks and in a single application.
  16. It is almost entirely compatible with the Unix and messdos versions, with
  17. things like socket handling obviously not there.
  18. I downloaded it from uts.mcc.ac.uk riscos archives.
  19. Personally I think it could do with some simplifying in a few areas and
  20. some better integration with riscos, but it's a great start. And a great 
  21. price!
