  12.  British Olympic Hurdlers Compete for

  16. Tony Jarrett - Britain's top ranking
  17. hurdlers, are making guest appearances
  18. at the World of Acorn event to be held
  19. in Birmingham on the 12th and 13th
  20. September.  Colin and Tony will be
  21. challenging visitors to compete against
  22. them in an exciting new athletics
  23. simulation called Quest for Gold.

  25. The game runs on Acorn's range of 32-bit
  26. RISC computers.  Developed by Krisalis
  27. Software, Quest for Gold is a detailed
  28. athletic simulation of track and field
  29. events, including both training and
  30. competition.

  32. Quest for Gold is being included in
  33. Acorn's Learning Curve and Family
  34. Solution packs, designed for the home
  35. computing environment. The concept of
  36. the Learning Curve pulls together the
  37. needs of computing in schools, at the
  38. office and in the home, whereas the
  39. Family Solution represents an ideal
  40. introduction to home computing.

  42. The World of Acorn will be the first
  43. public showing in the Midlands of
  44. Acorn's new range of powerful 32-bit
  45. computers which start from under #500.
  46. Members of Acorn will be on hand
  47. demonstrating the equipment and showing
  48. how they can fulfill a variety of
  49. computing requirements including
  50. education, business, word processing,
  51. desktop publishing, art, music and
  52. leisure activities.

  55. dealers from the Birmingham area and
  56. several leading software houses.

  59. National Motorcycle Museum, Coventry
  60. Road, Bicken Hill, Birmingham on
  61. Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September
  62. from 10am until 4pm.
