- This is not something I would care to even try and implement. The problem
- with such an idea is how does the anti-virus code decide what is a 'safe'
- filing operation and what is not? And virus writers, being the antisocial
- sorts they are, will automatically make a virus that alters files in a way
- deemed safe by your virus protector.

- The only way to stop viruses (virii?) is to stop people writing them in
- the first place. Any other scheme is basically stop-gap.
