- Just exactly how "similar" is the TB+ configuration? If one modem
- works and the other doesn't, the differences are the first place to
- look for the cause of the problem.

- My initial guess would be in the DCD and DSR signal handling. Since you
- didn't include register dumps for the two modems, I can't point out the
- differences, but I can mention that the WB's &F3 settings have DCD off
- until the connection is complete, but DSR turns on sooner - when the
- other modem's carrier is first heard. Check that against the S53 or
- S130/S131 settings on your TB+. If you want DSR to stay on always, use
- &S0. If you want DSR to turn on when the connection is complete, use &S4.
