  11. I understand that there has been some recent discussion about 
  12. SADT and IDEF0.  Those postings are now gone so I can't respond
  13. to any specific questions, but I would be happy to answer any that
  14. might remain.  The National Institute of Standards and Technology
  15. (NIST) is in the process of standardizing IDEF0 (function 
  16. modeling) and IDEF1X (information modeling).  A draft FIPS
  17. (Federal Information Processing Standard) has been developed and 
  18. will be available for public review following the announcement in
  19. the Federal Register, which should occur in about a month.///
  20. The IDEF Users Group is also actively involved in the standards
  21. process.  In addition to contributing to the FIPS, they are
  22. forming working groups for a series of IEEE standards, two of
  23. which concern IDEF0.  Information on IDEF and the UG can be
