  17. I should have pointed out that I was not refering so much to sending
  18. entire fonts for Andrew applications as to sending the few special
  19. symbols that some applications want.  For instance the standard arrow
  20. cursor and scrollbar symbols. In many cases these are used as cursors,
  21. so it is reasonable to have them in pixmaps anyway.

  23. Having a general font-download-from-application protocol would clearly
  24. be preferable to the pixmap scheme.
