  14. The problem with "messages" not being able to read new mail on sun hosts
  15. appears to be due to our 1.8MB amsn.do exhausting the available swap
  16. space whenever the "Read Mail" menu option is selected.

  18. Short of killing off a bunch of processes, we'll have to opt for a more
  19. streamlined mail reader in situations like this--e.g., "cat".
