  20. I think Craig could better answer this issue than I.  My understanding
  21. is that the delivery system needed to function even on platforms for
  22. which no port of the Andrew toolkit existed.  Certain internal
  23. architectures could have been made cleaner if the object system was
  24. used, but such was not an option.

  26. My observation is that there are people who read and are comfortable
  27. with ATK object system code, and people who read and are comfortable
  28. with the message system code, but I don't believe I've ever met anyone
  29. who was in both groups.
