- Well there's good news and bad news.
-
- First the bad news:
-
- My distrubutor sucks. Remember when I told you to stick with your
- distributor even if He/She has slightly higher prices than another
- distributor? And even if they screw up once and a while?
- Well there has to come a time when there's a "last straw".
-
- It has arrived.
-
- I call my guy and ha says "Yeah we got 521 MC68HC11E2P parts in stock"
- I tell you all this.
- I have requests for 36 plus my 10 so far. (Payment for 4 so far)
- I send in a request for other parts and accidentally leave the MC68HC11E2P
- on the bid sheet.
- I get a bid of $14.17 (No problem) and a lead of 20 weeks.
- I call my guy and he says "Well I think I might have made a mistake"
- Yep, They should be in December 15 1992.
- Oh, No big deal, I only told the world that you have them. Thanks.
-
- So that's the end of him.
-
- The good news:
-
- He also screwed up and said that the "P" suffix was the PLCC version
- it is not. the "FN" suffix is the part we want.
-
- So Monday I'll get on the phone and try to track some "FN" parts down.
- My guy might have some but I'll check him LAST.
-
- I'll hold your checks undeposited just in case I can't find any.
-
- I might have a lead on 40 "P" suffix parts so if anyone really wants
- the "P" part (48 pin DIP without pins PC4/AD4 through PC7/AD7) you lose
- 4 analog input pins. I'll let you know about them.
-
- Aint life fun?
-
- Worst case is that we'll all get christmas presents.
