- Is a Token Ring very suitable for Real Time needs?
-
- I have in mind something like 16 nodes each generating 9000 to 30000bits
- per sec of realtime traffic (the data logging is very regular for each
- node) and about 0 (minimum) to 500000 (peak) bits per sec of bursty non
- realtime traffic.
-
- What is your experience? In terms of fault tolerance, delay, general all
- round performance.
-
- What are the things I'd be able to tune in order to optimise the
- network?
-
- Thanks
