  11. Could anyone tell me if it is possible to have FTPBIN 
  12. automatically login with my username and password without 
  13. interacting with me?  I cannot for the life of me figure out 
  14. how to do it if it is possible.   When I type in the following 
  15. : USER <user-name> <password>, it takes the user-name and 
  16. password as a single string as the user-name and then prompts 
  17. me for a password.  However, when I try this on a UNIX machine 
  18. to a VAX and vice versa, it works.  It just doesn't seem to 
  19. work with a PC.

  21.            I would like to be able to put a periodic ftp 
  22. session on an launch scheduler to automatically transfer files 
  23. unattended.  Or is it possible to find a background ftp server 
  24. to do this on the PC?  Please let me know if you can help me.
