  14. I'm using the ETHERLSL SLIP driver. It works fine.

  16. I wrote a program using Green Leaf's communications software
  17. library to dial the modem and login to the host. This works
  18. fine, too.

  20. Green Leaf's software saves the existing state of the UART, and
  21. restores them on exit.

  23. If the modem is dialed, using my program, then ETHERSL is loaded,
  24. everything works fine.

  26. The problem is that when ETHERSL is loaded first, then the dialer
  27. program is used, ETHERSL stop working correctly. It still works in that
  28. the computer has not crashed and it'll accept packets from an application
  29. and it'll send some bytes out the serial port, but it'll
  30. only send 4 bytes rather than the whole packet it was sent.
  31. And, the bytes it sends are always the same thing.

  33. It looks as though the Green Leaf software has somehow corrupted
  34. ETHERSL, but I don't see how since it restores the state of the
  35. machine. Any ideas how to diagnose this problem, or what to do?
