  13. I've searched high and low for public domain SLIP server software for 
  14. SunOS 4.1.1 and I've only had a little luck.  There are a bunch of files out 
  15. in anonymous ftp land called slip-4.1.shar.Z.  This looks like it's probably 
  16. what I want but I keep getting "Unexpected fi" errors when I try to run sh 
  17. on it to extract the sources.  Also, does this version have the capability to 
  18. use VJ compression?

  20. There is also cslipbeta.tar.Z, but, according to the README file, shouldn't 
  21. be attempted unless you are a real kernel hacker.  Has anyone got this to
  22. work on SunOS 4.1.1 without hacking?

  24. Is there another package out there that I just might be missing?  I used
  25. archie but these two packages appear to be the only two available.

  27. I just installed ppp but haven't had a chance to try it out.  Is there any
  28. problem with running both SLIP and PPP on the same machine?  I think the
  29. answer is no, but I'm still getting my feet wet.
