- A really useful book I'm using is:
-
- "Troubleshooting TCP/IP - Analyzing the Protocols of the Internet" by
- Mark A. Miller, 1992, published by M&T Books. List price is US$44.95.
-
- The author "presents over 25 case studies, take from live internetworks,
- that demonstrate TCP/IP and the related protocols they use, typical problems
- that may occur, plus solutions".
-
- The case studies are presented in the form of Sniffer packet traces, which
- are then methodically analysed.
-
- I can't recommend it highly enough, especially if you have a Sniffer!
