  22.    Whenever I do a DIR or even an ls in a mounted directory known to 
  23.    contain symbolic links, the symbolic links do not appear.

  32. This topic has cmoe up before, and I believe the answer is that as
  33. long as the link is to a directory contained on the mounted drive it
  34. will work.  But, PC-NFS can't figure out symbolic links to filesystems
  35. that it doesn't have mounted as part of that drive.  For example, we
  36. have a symbolic link

  38.  /project/lcp/src/sys -> /project/twolf/src/sys386

  40. And we have mount /project/lcp/src as a drive on PC-NFS, it won't be
  41. able to find it.  If the symbolic link were to another point within
  42. the mounted filesystem, it could find the file.  Geoff could give the
  43. technical reason why.

  45. I believe that one of the other NFS client for PC vendors has a way
  46. around this (FTP, B&W?).
