- We overcame the problem by changing the output port for the local
- printer from (for instance) LPT1: to LPT1.OS2, in the control panel/printer
- setup. I don't quite remember how this was discovered but I dimly remember
- that another Windows application recommended trying this if we had trouble
- printing locally. We also still have Print Manager enabled, but it didn't
- really seem to make a difference if we did not, once we set the definition
- to LPT1.OS2.

- This is all running under Win 3.1, can't tell you if the same effect
- would be seen in Win 3.0.
