- There is a specification for NetBIOS over TP4 in the MAP/TOP V3.0 specs.
- You should contact the Corporation for Open Systems for a copy. There
- are source code implmentations of this available from Retix. I am not
- sure where to get info on NetBIOS over TCP/IP.
-
- TOP is an OSI profile for technical office computing. It is essentially
- the same as the U.S. GOSIP profile. NetBIOS over TP4 is one of the
- profiles described in the TOP specification. It seems to me that LAN
- Manager is a network operating system, not just a protocol. LANMan can
- be run over a variety of networking protocols. In fact, StarGroup from
- AT&T uses LanMan over OSI TP4 and CLNS. (sorry..StarGroup is from NCR).
